The 92nd UIM General Assembly will be held in Qingdao from the 13th to 20th October.
The Chinese Water Sports Administration (CWSA) is hosting the annual event and they will welcome members of the UIM Council, and Executive Committee, Commissions, Committees, Working Groups and Delegates of the National Authorities affiliated to the federation.
UIM President, Dr. Raffaele Chiulli will be standing for re-election during the proceedings and will be hoping to extend his reign over the sport with a 4th term that will last until 2023.
The UIM press release I received this afternoon did not indicate whether Chiulli would stand unopposed.
The Commissions and Committees will be working through potential rule change proposals for 2020, that have been submitted by the National Authorities and UIM’s working groups. (The Marathon rules being a good example of this as was posted on Powerboat Racing World on Saturday).
