With that in mind it is interesting to see where our readers come from and I pulled off that league table today.
It’s probably no surprise that the United States sits in pole position due to the sheer size of its population and that the United Kingdom, the home of Powerboat Racing World, is in second place.
Powerboat racing has historically been popular in Scandinavia and Sweden, Norway and Finland are placed in the top ten.
Duarte Benavente’s UIM F2 World Championship win in Portugal must have helped his country get to number ten this year, while racer and organiser, Edgaras Riabko, is putting Lithuania on the powerboat racing map, his country are 11th.
It’s interesting to note how much Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah have put into the sport over the years and that the combined UAE sits in 15th position.
