Victory Win Class One International on the St. Clair River

John Moore on 29th July 2019

The Victory Team of Salem Al Adidi and Elsa Al Ali took the Class One International win on the St. Clair River, Michigan at the 25th annual St. Clair River Classic yesterday.

Darren Nicholson and Giovanni Carpitella took second and posted after the race:

We had a solid race out there today as we crossed the line in P2.

Congratulations to Victory on the win and Miss Geico did an incredible job to even be on the water, so well done guys on a valiant effort out there today.

Our boat felt great and while the conditions were a little too flat for us, it made for some nice top speeds.

Miles Jennings and Steve Curtis took third in a hastily put together Miss Geico, their Crew Chief, Gary Stray commented:

Today went better than expected.

At 7:00am yesterday morning, we didn’t even know if we would take a green flag due to electrical issues, but thanks to a colossal team effort we managed to get a respectable third place.

It was great for us to score welcome points after the difficult result in Sarasota.

The team has put forth exceptional effort over the last three weeks to prepare the best available solution for us to keep our commitment to the fans.

Next stop is Michigan City, where we aim to progress and collect more points.
