The Victory Team have announced that David Del Pin will be Erik Stark’s team-mate for the rest of the 2019 UIM F1H2o season.
Both Del Pin and Stark will make their debuts for the Dubai based team in Xiamen, China over the weekend of October 18-20.
Del Pin has won World Championships in the F1000 class in 2008 and 2010 and also raced twice for the F1H2o Abu Dhabi Team.
The Italian who raced in UIM F2 in 2017 with his own team, took the Bronze medal in the European Championship held in Kupiškis, Lithuania.
In a huge mid-season change for Victory, where Alex Carella and Ahmed Al Hameli have left the team, their replacements, Del Pin and Stark will not be racing the Victory built and designed boats.
The team have decided to shelve that project and go with DAC, the boats that are built by the company owned by Abu Dhabi Team Manager, Guido Cappellini.
John raced Offshore UIM Class 3 in the 1980’s & 1990’s.
He served as the Cowes Torquay Cowes Event Director for 4 years, including running the 50 th Anniversary Event in 2010.
