The RYA’s Norton takes new role at the Personal Watercraft Partnership

After a 28 year career at the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), Andrew Norton has taken on the role of Director of the Personal Watercraft Partnership (PWP).

Norton who is a stalwart of offshore powerboat racing safety cover will be liaising with the relevant authorities and organisers to ensure that the waters are kept open for responsible PWC use as well as promoting RYA PWC training programmes.

Norton commented on the new role:

I am very pleased to be taking over as Director of the PWP and thank the Partners for their support.

I would also like to thank David Pougher for his fantastic and enthusiastic contribution over many years within and as Director of the PWP and I look forward to working with him in his position of Chairman.

Pougher, after seven years of acting as the Personal Watercraft Partnership’s Director, will be taking up the role of Chairman.
