One of Britain’s best-loved and long-established brands, Typhoo tea, will once again be sponsoring a race boat in this year’s P1 SuperStock UK Championship which gets underway next month.

Powerboat P1, the world’s leading marine motorsport promoter, has announced that Typhoo will sponsor a racing team in its P1 SuperStock series for a seventh consecutive year. P1 managing director Robert Wicks

Typhoo has been an ever-present boat sponsor in the UK championship since the launch of the P1 Panther powerboat in 2011 and we are delighted that the successful partnership will continue this summer.

The sponsorship will see the Typhoo boat again sporting its striking livery featuring twin colours, with half of the craft retaining the iconic Typhoo pillar box red and the other half in black promoting Typhoo Extra Strong, an expertly blended, robust, full bodied brew.

Carrying the now familiar number 00 reflecting the brand’s famous advertising strapline that “you can only get an ‘OO’ with Typhoo”, the boat will compete in every round of the four-venue race series between June and September.

The Typhoo team finished in 6th place in the 2016 P1 SuperStock Championship and this year’s crew of driver Kevin Hunt and navigator Carl Turner will be looking to achieve a top three finish.
