Shaun Torrente was positively on fire during the F1H2o BRM Qualifying in Portimão this morning.
The Victory Team driver put in a quickest lap time of 0:42.80 bettering nearest rival and team mate Ahmed Al Hameli by 0.33 of a second.
Al Hameli’s superb time was overshadowed by a massive accident wrecking his sponson, onlookers watched the driver walk away unharmed.
When asked after about the problems his nearest rivals had experienced Torrente replied;
I’m only interested in the problems within my cockpit and am relieved that Ahmed is okay.
We’re fairly sure there is more to come for the race later.
