Tonsberg deals the cards

Four of a kind constitutes a top hand in poker, Norway’s one of a kind, Frode Sundstal, is hoping that his powerboat powered card game will be the winning formula this July in Tonsberg.

The larger than life veteran organiser of international powerboat races has turned his attention to those that want to go fast on the water and in equal measure, enjoy the social aspects of a summer weekend in Norway’s oldest city.

After opening up their entry on Sunday the Tonsberg Poker Run event has already attracted an incredible 75 entries.

It’s probably no surprise to those who have visited Tonsberg that the affluent coastal area that boasts superb restaurants and luxury accommodation has attracted such a fleet in such a short time – even during a global health crisis.

Sundsdal and his partner Joyce Christine Andersen look to have another organisational winner on their hands, and that’s just one of the good news stories we all want this summer.
