Thunder On Cocoa Beach falls to the pandemic

Please Share!

Official notification has been given today that Thunder On Cocoa Beach has been cancelled.

The event which was initially scheduled to herald the start of the 2020 APBA Offshore Championship Series was moved from its May 14-17 date to August 27-28.

Kerry Bartlett, the Thunder On Cocoa Beach race director, was informed by the Port Canaveral authorities that would prefer that the event didn’t run this season.

The championship which has been decimated by the COVID-19 pandemic just has the Roar Offshore event to look forward to in October, let’s hope by then, Fort Myers Beach will witness some offshore racing.
