There’s plenty to look forward to in 2021, with international racing events set to start in late spring.
The racing calendar will see the return of the F1H2o world championship after taking a break in 2020, the F2 series has five races scheduled with two venues in Portugal and Lithuania and one in Italy, while F4 racers will be competing in Italy, Sweden and Germany over 6 rounds.
The Rouen 24 will be held in midsummer this year, the date move will guarantee extra light for the teams and will perhaps give better weather to the passionate French spectators.
Over in the US, a six-venue series in the Sunshine State for UIM Class 1 will hopefully feature an international line-up.
In 1961 the first offshore powerboat race set off from Cowes, next August and 60 years later, the British Powerboat Racing Club organised Cowes Torquay Cowes will mark a historic anniversary in the sport.
Wherever you are in the powerboat racing world, have a safe and prosperous New Year.
