The Team Abu Dhabi 5 crew of Rashed Al-Tayer and Faleh Al-Mansoori shadowed the Victory Team crew of Arif Saif Al-Zafeen and Nadir bin Hendi from the opening lap to finish third overall after a pulsating Lugano Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. Final preperations for XCAT GP on Lake Lugano

Here we are on beautiful Lake Lugano, the weather cloudy and with some moderate rain. Water conditions look to be relatively flat with a slight chop and a light North Easterly breeze as final preparation are taking place on the eve of the great race. It’s the final day for any major changes or rearranges and the teams are going full throttle in preparation for the big race which begins tomorrow. Team Abu Dhabi to be represented by Al-Mansoori and Al-Tayer on Lake Lugano

Victory Team’s Al-Zafeen and Bin Hendi lead series by 31 points from Swecat Racing The stunning Swiss location of Lake Lugano will play host to the third round of the UIM XCAT World Series this weekend (June 4-5) and what better place for Team Abu Dhabi to rekindle its title challenge in the prestigious world power boating series. XCAT Series heads for South Korea

Seoul, South Korea is the latest new addition to the UIM XCAT World Powerboating Series fold. That was announced at a press conference in Dubai today attended by HE Saif Al Ketbi (President of the World Professional Powerboating Association), Essa Kharbash (WPPA board member), Sid Bensalah (Secretary General of the WPPA) and members of the preparatory committee for the Korean event. “For the first time in XCAT history, the race, which is planned for 23-25 September, will be contested on a river in the centre of the city.
