SWX Right Now become H1 Unlimited’s live destination and distributor

Chris Davies on 24th July 2019

In an effort to enhance the fan experience, H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Series is partnering with John Lynch, an independent production and broadcast executive and KNDU-TV/SWX Right Now to become H1 Unlimited’s live destination and distributor of the H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Series event in Tri-City, Washington, Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28, 2019.

The one-race streaming video on demand deal to broadcast the 54th annual HAPO Columbia Cup is set to expand on the standalone complementary streaming service H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Series has offered at the first two races of the 2019 season.

Lynch and KNDU-TV will handle the production and the coverage is designed to boost the content offered for the direct-to-consumer streaming service offered at the first two events by the H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Series.

For $9.95 fans can access the live daily racing action.

The subscription also allows fans to view replays after the races conclude. To subscribe, install the Vu-Me app and after installing select “topics” explore “hydroplane racing.”

Ron Perry, executive director for H1 Unlimited hydroplanes said:

We aim to deliver the best pay-per-view experience with unrivaled access to racing, unprecedented access to drivers and much more.

Live streaming has increased exposure and viewership this year and this is our effort to bring superior coverage of this weekend’s race and to have a professional production as a way to deliver high-end content to our fans.

The unlimited hydroplane race fans not planning on attending the race but are in the KNDU-TV/SWXRightNow.com markets of Tri-City, Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, Yakima and surrounding areas will be able to access SWXrightnow.com race broadcasts without subscribing.

H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Series will continue to stream and distributing the Seattle and San Diego races via their H1 Unlimited YouTube channel for free and offer replays of these two events on the traditional digital channels.

Perry continued,

We are viewing this as an experiment against what we already have done this year.

H1 Unlimited hydros may explore other potential broadcast options in the off-season.
