Powerboat Racing World to continue into 2018

I’m pleased to be able to report that Powerboat Racing World will continue its coverage of the sport for 2018.

The site has rapidly established itself as ‘the go to place’ for news and race reports from Offshore and Circuit events across the Globe.

With over 8,500 Facebook followers and an average of 1,000 daily unique website views, Powerboat Racing World will continue to build on its popularity this year.

None of this would be possible without the help of race organisers, our scribes and snappers.

Can I also take this opportunity to thank Frode Sundsdal’s (above left) company for their financial support which has enabled in part the continuation of this site.

2018 is certainly something to look forward to, the UIM ‘flagship’ F1H2o is set to announce its strongest calendar yet, with a new venue in India and the much anticipated race in London.

The UIM will once again be promoting the XCAT Racing series as it expands to 4 events in China, 2 in the UAE and new venues in Russia and Armenia.

In Britain, Offshore Racing hasn’t looked so healthy in many a year, with 3 Marathon races on the calendar, a resurgence of ‘Class 3’ racing and a vibrant OCRDA series.

Have a happy, prosperous and above all – safe 2018.
