The UK Offshore Circuit Racing Drivers Association (OCRDA) ventures into a brave new world this weekend at Torquay.
They announced late in March via a press release that their members had voted to race independently of the National Governing Body for the 2017 season and that the club would deal with licencing and race training with racing cover from Everard Insurance.
Just over a month later and OCRDA are hosting their first event of this season in the West Country with an entry list of 31 boats, which comprises of 3 class categories.
This weekends event is part of The 2017 Aqua Adrenaline Tour which will also include Offshore Water Ski Racing.

John raced Offshore UIM Class 3 in the 1980’s & 1990’s.
He served as the Cowes Torquay Cowes Event Director for 4 years, including running the 50 th Anniversary Event in 2010.
He has recently organised 4 British Offshore races under UKOPRA sanction.
