Newman hits 105

Mike Newman is the fastest blind man on water, today he increased that speed to 105 mph.

Crewing Silverline with Drew Langdon, Newman pushed the UIM Marathon Class A Outerlimits hull to a new blind speed record.

The record run was particularly impressive because Silverline had only been launched late last night.

Silverline suffered a heart breaking sinking during last year’s Cowes Torquay Cowes race, in which it was recovered a day later.

The countless hours of work to get the boat back together certainly paid off for Newman and Langdon today.
