Hagin heads Stateside

Chris Davies on 6th February 2020

Following his very successful outing in the Dillard Financial Solutions, Inc sponsored DAC at the last round of the UIM F2 World Championship, Stefan Hagin has now been signed up to race for the team in the 2020 NGK F1 Powerboat Championship Series.

The German racer, who won the Tonsberg round of the UIM F2 World Championship back in August, said:

I am extremely happy to get another chance to race with Dillard Financial Solutions Inc.

Having Brandon Power prepare the DAC for the whole season will make us a team that people will suddenly pay a lot of attention to, especially after what we did together in Abu Dhabi last year.

Steve Dillard commented on the news:

We are so excited to announce that Stefan Hagin will be driving the #80 here in the United States.

We will begin testing in March, once our equipment arrives back in the States. Our goal is to position ourselves to compete and win the 2020 series.

Hagin continued:

Looking at that racing schedule it’s going to mean a lot of travel for me but what a huge opportunity it will be to race in these new places.

Although it’s highly unlikely that Hagin will compete in the UIM F2 World Championship this year, he hasn’t completely turned his back on Europe.

Plans are well underway for him to race in a two-boat Rowe sponsored team alongside the Italian Paolo Longhi.

The German driver has recently placed an order for a brand new Molgaard hull which he will compete in at selected events, that won’t clash with his US commitments.
