F4-s Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi Preview

John Moore on 5th December 2018

F4-s teams will tackle two 20-minute races during this weekend’s Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi.

Team Abu Dhabi’s Mohammed Al-Mehairbi currently trails Germany’s Max Stilz by a single point with a potential 80 still at stake at the four remaining races in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah next weekend.

Britain’s Sam Whittle currently lies third in the Championship, his father and engineer Keith said from the stunning Bab Al Qasr Hotel where the team are based:

Sam has got it all to do over this and next weekend if we want to take a Championship win back to Hayling Island in England later this month.

Whatever the outcome, the season has been an amazing experience for us.

I would like to thank Dave Sheldon’s Multispark Racing Products for his support of the team here in the UAE and just to let everyone know, I still have a few tickets on sale for the Powertech Christmas Party!

Victory Team’s Ahmed Al Fahim will be joined by Asian Games gold medallist Ali Al Lanjawi.

Al Fahim won the second race at the Grand Prix of India in Amaravati and the Victory Team driver now lies in fifth position.

Huraiz Bin Huraiz, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Victory Team commented on adding another driver to the team:

Our intention of getting Ali out on the water in a F4 boat is to give him the exposure while preparing him for tougher battles ahead starting next season.

It has always been our focus to give our young Emirati drivers the right sort of platform so that they can raise their game and start excelling for their country.

Ali has made us proud with a gold and a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia and we feel he is the right man who can rise to the occasion in the future.
