The 2020 UIM F2 World Championship was proposed to start in Portugal over the weekend of June 13-14, however it was announced today that the Vila Velha de Ródão event has been, ‘postponed’ by the Federação Portuguesa de Motonautica.
This year’s calendar, like all other sporting events across the globe is now in a state of flux, paralysed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With no cure for the virus, a potential vaccine a long way off, and many country’s borders currently closed, it is now highly unlikely if we will see any international circuit racing in the first half of this year.
John raced Offshore UIM Class 3 in the 1980’s & 1990’s.
He served as the Cowes Torquay Cowes Event Director for 4 years, including running the 50 th Anniversary Event in 2010.
