Extraordinary UIM Council meeting next month

The UIM have announced today that they will be holding an extraordinary Council meeting on Friday May 8.

UIM President Raffaele Chiulli has called the video conference meeting to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sport and on the UIM as an organisation.

Whilst all sporting events have been cancelled across the world, there is some hope that domestic sports such as football and golf can return, although in a far different way from how they left.

However, the likelihood of seeing any international competition this year must now be extremely remote with many country’s borders currently closed and with grounded airlines that are making staff redundant.

It’s going to be an extremely tough meeting for President Chiulli to hold.
