Daniellé Friend captures the maiden voyage of Paul Etasse’s Phantom 19 G – ‘Slayer’ in Saint Peter Port today.
Initial testing went well, the Guernsey Man was impressed with the ‘out of the box’ speed.
This Evinrude powered UIM Class 3A contender looks to be a serious challenger for the World Championship in Tvedestrand, Norway this year.
The Phantom 19 G hull was modified by John Guille to incorporate stepped ventilation and has already taken Gold and Silver in successive 3A World Championships.
I showed the pictures to Nick Barsch who worked with Steve Baker on the original Phantom 19 this afternoon in Cornwall and he said, ‘It looks fantastic’.
