The series will be run in direct association with Extreme E, the off-road electric motorsport championship which uses sport to raise awareness about global climate issues and promotes the adoption of clean energy solutions.

It will include races in a selection of Extreme E’s locations, as well as additional host cities.

Formula E

As with Extreme E, this new venture will use an electric racing concept to showcase performance capabilities, whilst at the same time providing a competitive platform to accelerate advancements in technology.

More details will be revealed on Friday where the launch event will include the ceremonial signing of official documents, the sporting vision, format and race calendar overview.

Powerboat Racing World will be attending the event which will be held at the Monaco Yacht Club and via live-stream and asking questions at the remote post-event interview room.
