Following the news that the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) have taken over ownership of the Victory Team, the next big thing on the horizon for the club will be hosting the finale of the XCAT Racing World Championship.
Earlier this month the DIMC finalised their plans for the upcoming event which included selecting Sunset Beach as the venue and producing the timetable.
Mohammed Hareb (DIMC CEO) and Hezaim Al Gemzi (General Supervisor of the race and DIMC Director of Sports Departement) met with with Pasquale Sesana and Sebastiano Pellecchia from the UIM XCAT organising team.
Hareb gave thanks to Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for putting the finance in place to hold the event and welcomed the return of the series that was created in Dubai back in 2010.
Before the teams head for Dubai though, there is still an appeal to be heard from the Abu Dhabi team which could change the championship lead and you can read more about that here.
