2016 Cowes Torquay Cowes winners Richard Carr and Steve Curtis driving A69 – Cougar were first into Torquay this morning.
They averaged an amazing 97.68 mph over the flat course, a far cry from last year when the aluminium Cougar mono battled through horrendous water.
Markus Hendricks, a 2 time winner of the race finally ‘dialed in’ his Adam Younger designed hull and took second overall.
9 of the 10 starters got to Torquay, with only Birretta Due failing to finish the first leg.
