Chaguri defends his 2018 F3000 title with a win in Malaysia

2018 F3000 World Champion, Lebos Chaguri started his tile defence with a win at the Malaysian Grand Prix, over the weekend of April 19-20.

The Brazilian managed to clinch the first spot during the qualifying session with a 38.05 seconds lap, leaving teammate Scott McCook in second.

Strong winds and tide throughout the race caused two re-starts and various yellow flags due to accidents made the level of competition rise even further.

However, the battle between the two then continued during the race, where McCook took the lead and managed to keep it for half of the session until Chaguri resumed the leadership and eventually finished first.
