Bruising Boscombe

The ageing James Tapp finally got the better of Magor Racing in Round 4 of the 2017 RYA ThunderCat Racing Championship held at Boscombe, Dorset yesterday. With co-driver Ed Redman, he steered Nationwide Assistance Group to it’s first Pro-Stock win of the season, pipping close rivals Rob Davies and Darren Phillips by just one point after 4 heats and the final. Last year’s rookie driver Lewis Huddy, with new team mate Steve Putt excelled in the strong southerly wind, Putt said after; We got our first ever podium and Lewis got driver of the day, our brand new Gemini Marine FF15 hull is absolutely insane! Modified It was decided to run Modified Class in preparation for those competitors that want to race that want to race this class internationally next year. Lovett International teams up with Tapp and Redman

ThunderCat Racing UK will be returning to Boscombe, Dorset this weekend for Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2017 Championship. 18 boats are expected compete in 12 racing heats and a final 9 lap show down on both Saturday and Sunday! 2015 World and National Champions James Tapp and Edd Redman have come out of retirement yet again to compete in the 2017 Championship and for this event have partnered with Lovett International.
