Kupiškis in Lithuania will be hosting the 2020 European championships for GT15, GT30 and OSY-400 this weekend and you will be able to watch the action live!

UIM GT15 – Wrenkler is World Class

Adam Wrenkler, the son of veteran Offshore Racers, Thomas and Annika, put on a World Class display of driving in Finland to capture the 2017 UIM GT15 World Championship. Wrenkler from Sweden, won the first 3 heats, with an unassailable lead in the points table, he sat out the final heat safe in the knowledge that the World Championship was his. Stefan Arand and Georgi Iljin from Estonia joined Wrenkler on the podium this evening. 31 teams from South Africa, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden and the host nation entered the event held in Imatra. After qualifying and the repechage, 16 boats faced 4 heats of racing over 2 days. 2017 UIM GT15 World Championship Results  

UIM GT15 – Smith is Going for Gold

Britain’s Harvey Smith has been racing since 2012, but he hasn’t faced a bigger challenge in his  career until now. This weekend the youngster from Warwickshire will take part in the 2017 UIM GT15 World Championship in Imatra, Finland against a mighty field of 30 international competitors from South Africa, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden and the host nation. Not only is there quantity in the line up, there is quality. 2015 UIM GT15 World and European Champion Stefan Arand from Estonia goes into the weekend as clear favourite. For anyone that watched him last year will know that he is a formidable opponent, his driving at the European Championship held at Stewartby was outstanding. Smith told me tonight; It has given me a real boost that I come here currently leading the British GT15 Championship. I can take that confidence into tomorrow’s qualification…
