H2o Racing promoter, Nicolò di San Germano, has today published an open letter with regard to the status of the 2020 UIM F1H2o World Championship.

The Jornal Observador have reported that the Município de Portimão will be diverting the €350,000.00 they had originally allotted to support the UIM F1H2o Grand Prix of Portugal into helping combat the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Federação Portuguesa De Motonautica (FPM) have today announced that the UIM F1H2o race in Portimão, which was scheduled for May 8-10, has been postponed, FPM also included two UIM Aquabike meetings in the postponement notice.
With borders being closed and sporting events being called off, the news comes as no real surprise to anyone who is following global events.

The first round of the 2020 UIM F1H2o World Championship will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia over the weekend of March 17-21.
Scott Gillman, has announced his driver pairing for the 2020 UIM F1H2o World Championship.
After leaving the Victory Team during the 2019 season, their former team manager has recruited Italy’s Alex Carella and Greg Foster from the USA to Gillman Racing.
