In a shock social media announcement this afternoon, Alex Carella posted: ‘End of racing with F1 Gillman Racing’.

In July 2019, Carella left the Victory Team and joined the Maverick Team for the remainder of the season, he then joined Gillman for the 2020 season which was subsequently cancelled due to the health crisis.

The team, founded by American Scott Gillman, which is based in Casale Monferrato, Italy, was set-up to challenge for the UIM F1H2o World Championship with Carella and Greg Foster as drivers.

It had been expected that the four time UIM F1H2o World Champion would be lining up in a Gillman Racing / DAC hull this year.
