After announcing last night that they will cease production of Evinrude E-TEC and E-TEC G2 outboard engines, BRP have today reported a $226M loss in the first quarter of this year.

The company that also manufactures Ski-Doo and Sea-Doo is expecting revenue in the second quarter to be down nearly 40 percent compared with last year.

The results came a day after BRP said it would cut 650 jobs (5% of its global workforce) and ended the Evinrude brand.
