Matt Palfreyman has been running a Mariner branded engine on a Dragon hull at Coniston this week and followers of the sport have questioning why?

EP Barrus have today announced that they will be backing the rapid northerner’s UIM F2 World Championship challenge next year.

As of next year, Palfreyman’s BaBa hull will be branded in a new colour scheme including EP Barrus’ support after the UK engine distributor were approached by John Kendrick’s #Pepstar racing team.

The six Event UIM F2 World Championship kicks of next June in Lithuania and will include the very popular Tonsberg Batrace in August.

Lee Allen the Barrus Technical Service Manager, who is a former circuit racer, said today;

We are extremely pleased to be supporting Britain’s most exciting powerboat racing driver, we see amazing potential in the young racer.
Our aim is see to Brits on international podiums and with our engineering support that should become a reality.

Palfreyman told me in the Bluebird Cafe;

This has given me an amazing boost, I want to repay Barrus with a UIM Gold Medal next year.
