Britain's Jonathan Brewer heads to Italy this weekend for the 2020 UIM F4 World Championship where 15 Teams will battle it out on Lago di Viverone over four races, with the best three results to count towards the World Crown.

Jelf Racing pushing for podiums at penultimate event

This weekend (15/16 September) Kent based powerboat racing team Jelf Racing head to Stewartby, Bedford in a bid for Powerboat GP podiums at the penultimate event of the season as they compete at the Bedford Grand Prix. Jelf Racing team will be represented in five of the British championship classes and will be looking to secure podium places in each class. First in action is the team’s youngest member George Elmore who will be looking to close the gap on rival Harvey Smith as they both search for their first British Championship titles in the GT15 class. Stewartby powering up for penultimate event

This weekend (15/16 September) the Powerboat GP series returns to Stewartby, Bedford for the penultimate Grand Prix of the 2017 Championship campaign. In what has been an action packed season so far teams will head back to Bedford in a bid to secure the Bedford Grand Prix title in 6 different classes. In the GT15 Class George Elmore and Harvey Smith will go head to head in a bid to secure the Grand Prix win. Just 13 points separates the two youngsters with Smith currently holding the championship top spot but with 31 points up for grabs this weekend the pressure will really be on. Bronze for Ben Jelf

Ben Jelf competed in the 2017 UIM F4 European Championships in Rendsburg, Germany last weekend. Ben and the Jelf Racing team made the 600 mile journey to compete against some of the World’s top racers in the bid to become European champion. 32 teams made the journey to compete for the European crown meaning that qualifying would see each competitor with just two laps of the course to determine which boats would make the cut to battle for the crown. With water approvals set for 15 boats the fastest 11 boats would automatically qualify for the main race with the remaining boats then battling it out in a race for the final 4 places on the grid. Jelf Racing set for British Sprint Challenge at Stewartby

This weekend(5/6 August) the Kent Powerboat racing team, Jelf Racing head to Stewartby, Bedford to compete in the 2017 Powerboat GP RYA British Sprint Championships. The team will be competing over the weekend at the stand alone championship event in the bid to win 5 British Championship titles for the team. First up in action over the weekend is the team’s youngest driver George Elmore who is in search of his first British crown in the GT15 class. George has been on flying form this season putting in some really strong performances in the British championship campaign and this weekend will be no different.
