Team Abu Dhabi’s Shaun Torrente is topping the 2019 UIM F1H2o World Championship standings with just one more race to go and the only driver that can stop him winning back-to-back titles is Sweden’s Jonas Andersson.

The final race of the season will be held in Sharjah, UAE on December 21st.

Torrente has finished all of the four Grand Prix, with wins in Portimão and China, Andersson also has a 100% reliability rate with a win in Evian back in July.

To date, Andersson’s best ever season in F1H2o was back in 2008, when he took the bronze medal and whatever happens in Sharjah, no other driver can win enough points to beat him to silver.

If the privateer Swede can pull off the championship against the might of Abu Dhabi, it will be as an amazing achievement as Leicester City winning the English Premier League in 2016.
