Chris Davies will be joining Frode Sundsdal tonight on the Norwegian’s weekly chat show and they will be taking a look back at the photographer’s work over 33 years.

The snapper who originally comes from England’s South Coast shot his first powerboat race in 1987 while working for a local newspaper.

That race, The Needles Trophy, made international headlines when former Ferrari Formula 1 driver, Didier Pironi, lost his life with two of his crew, Bernard Giroux and Jean-Claude Guénard.

Davies’ photographs of the aftermath of the tragic accident were used globally and since then has travelled the world covering virtually all of the various disciplines in the sport and has taken numerous prizes for his work.

You can catch the whole show live on Powerboat Racing World’s Facebook page at 20.00 CET (19:00 British Summer Time).
