Krista Uzare from Latvia has won the 2018 Ski Ladies GP1 World Championship in Sharjah.
An overwhelmed Uzare commented after the win:
It’s amazing. I was confident I would win.
I was always thinking what it feels like to become a World Champion. Here we are. There are no words for it. It’s amazing.
I wanted to race with the fastest girls in the world and look where I am now.
Latvia, we are a small country of two million and look what we can do!
