Yesterday at the Fiera Milano exhibition center, the “Duemila Ruote” (2000 Wheels) auction commenced.
The largest event of its kind ever hosted in Europe will be held over 3 days.
Well over 430 cars, over 150 motorcycles, 60 boats, and hundreds of road bicycles and items of automobilia will be put under the hammer in Milan.
Yesterday, a 38′ Lamborghini powered CUV, Miura built in 1984 made an impressive €100,000 (plus 17% fees and 22% VAT) at the auction held by RM Sotheby’s on behalf of the Italian Government.
Word from Milan was that the buyer, an Italian private collector has no plans to race the vintage hull.
