Poole powerboat instructor Arran Scott will this weekend head to Scarborough for the opening round of the P1 SuperStock Powerboat Championship.

Scott has been racing boats for several years and heading into his third year in the Powerboat P1 SuperStock Championship is looking to get the season off to a flying start.

The 2016 season will see Scott compete in the number 99 P1 SuperStock Panther sponsored by Arthur J Gallagher one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage and risk management companies.

Arran’s Co-pilot for the opening round at Scarborough will be Music Producer Chris Young.

Young is a gold disk awarded pianist, songwriter, producer and vocal producer based out of Chestnut Studios in London.

Throughout his career Young has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Kylie, Nervo, Ministry of Sound, The Wanted, Lionel Richie, Jason Derulo and Rod Stewart.

He has had two #1’s, a UK #5 and over 2 million sales to date.

The 2015 season saw mixed results for Scott but he will be hoping that any misfortunes will now be behind him and that he can get the season off to a singing start with a win in Scarborough.

On the upcoming Season Scott had this to say,

Scarborough was a brilliant opening round to the season last year and hopefully this year it will be even better. I’ve spent lots of time on the water over the winter training and Chris has really taken to the training over the last few months and we’re raring to go. We’re hoping to get a strong start to the season and build on it from there.
