The first race of the 2018 UIM Class 3D World Championship will be held later today in Chioggia, Italy.

Although the field of competitors mainly comprises of Italian competitors, it will be interesting to see Maltese Powerboat Racing superstar, Aaron Ciantar driving an Argentinian Hotboat and Fabien Mariani from France who has competed in the Belgian Offshore Championship this year in a similar hull.

Serafino Barlesi and Alessandro Barone will be defending their title in a Victory Team built hull.
