Smith to make F4-s debut in Portimao

John Moore on 13th May 2019

Britain’s Harvey Smith will make his UIM F4-s debut in Portimao this weekend.

Smith, from Kingsbury in Warwickshire, will be racing his Mercury powered Moore hull for the F1 Atlantic Team.

The 16 year-old started racing after a visit to a round of the 2012 UIM F2 World Championships held at Nottingham and started racing in the GT15 Powerboat GP British Championship in 2013 and won it in 2017.

Considering his young age, Smith already has experience of racing overseas, having competed in Norway, Latvia and Finland at international level.

Smith replaces fellow Brit Sam Whittle in the Portuguese team who has moved up to UIM F2 racing, but he will be in Portugal cheering the new kid on the block on.
