Chris Davies on 23rd September 2018

Morgan Jernfast has won the 2018 UIM F4 World Championship on the river Saône in France this afternoon.

Jernfast from Österskär in Sweden took second place to Nikita Lijcs in the race, but the 17 points were good enough to capture the UIM Gold Medal which he can put alongside his F4 European Championship win in Latvia back in July.

Lijcs put in a fine drive this afternoon, his win ensured a UIM Silver Medal would be heading back to Latvia this week.

Tuukka Lehtonen arrived in Macon as the the 2018 Championship favourite and will leave the Burgundy region of east-central France with a Bronze.
