Hawair looks to finance World Championship challenge in Italy

New UAE Jet Ski Marathon champion Amer Hawair is seeking a sponsorship boost to propel him into the international arena.

After an impressive start to the 2019 season, Hawair has set his sights on the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship, which get under way in Portugal next month before moving on to Italy for round two.

He began the year by securing the GP3 title in the seven-round UAE Jet Ski Championship after finishing third in the series in 2018.

Then last weekend he celebrated victory again in the UAE Jet Ski Marathon Championship at Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club after clocking up 26 laps in the two-hour test of endurance.

Hawair who lives in Sharjah and works as a fireman with the Dubai Civil Defense said:

I’ve been racing for two years and was jet skiing for fun for six years before that.

I now want to race in the UIM Aquabike World Championship in Italy, but at the moment I don’t have any sponsorship, so if I go I may need to rent an aquabike there.

There will be no such problem in December when Huwair fully intends to be in action when the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship season reaches its conclusion on Khalid Lagoon in Sharjah for the fifth consecutive year.
