John Travolta’s ‘Cigarette’ now in Post-Production

Back in July, Powerboat Racing World reported that John Travolta was filming a new movie, ‘Cigarette’.

The 63-year-old film star will play Ben Aronoff, a thinly-veiled version of Cigarette founder Don Aronow.

Aronow, who was murdered in 1987 built boats for President George H.W. Bush, the Shah of Iran and drug runners.

The ‘biopic’ directed by John Luessenhop with a $20 million budget is now in Post-Production.

Graham Stevens, the World’s foremost archivist on all things Offshore Powerboat Racing and whose career started in Naval Architecture at Vosper in the early 1960’s was contacted by one of the production team last week to help finalise the racing footage.

The shy and unassuming Stevens who runs his Powerboat Archive web site from home in Portsmouth said:

Always happy to help anyone in Hollywood, so long as they don’t invite me to the Premiere and ask me to wear a Dickie Bow!
