Ken Thorne has passed away

Ken Thorne has passed away at the age of 75.

Thorne a larger than life business man and powerboat racer courted controversy and praise in equal measure throughout his colourful life.

In the late 1990’s, his World of Cars super-sites in Wales were selling hundreds of used cars a month from 2 huge sites.

World of Cars were heavily involved in charitable trust work and sponsorship of football and ice-hockey teams.

Thorne raced in the UIM Class One Championship with Italian Matteo Nicolini, a series he loved, his presence at the UIM Class One Championship in Abu Dhabi last November was enjoyed by all.

Fiona Pascoe was working at that event;

I was with Ken in Abu Dhabi at the Class 1 racing recently, he was full of his typical Welsh charisma and attitude.
The Pascoe family have had brilliant times with Ken spanning over 25 years, from Class 1 to Offshore 2000 he has always been an amazing competitor and sponsor.
We will truly miss him.
